South Dominion Vineyard is offering for sale premium cold-climate wine grapes from our meticulously maintained 10-year-old vineyard located in New York’s Upper Hudson AVA, nestled on the foothills of the Taconic Mountain Range.

Every vine is hand-pruned, hand-combed, cluster-thinned, and hand-harvested to produce exceptional fruit quality. Our vineyard is New York Sustainable Winegrowing Certified, and every block receives the same meticulous care and attention used to produce our own award-winning, ultra-premium estate wines. Whether the grapes are destined for our winery or yours, they are grown to the same uncompromising standards.

Our unique Bernardston–Nassau shaly silt loam soils, combined with our cool-climate growing conditions and intensive vineyard management, consistently produce grapes with exceptional balance, flavor concentration, and varietal character. Each variety is harvested individually at its optimum balance of Brix, acidity (TA), and flavor development, typically from late September through early October.

Available Varieties

Marquette

Our vineyard consistently produces Marquette with deep color, bright cherry fruit, black pepper, and refined spice characteristics. Through our unique terroir and meticulous vineyard management, our Marquette develops an elegant structure reminiscent of fine cool-climate Pinot Noir.

Frontenac

By allowing the fruit to remain on the vine until optimum maturity, our Frontenac develops concentrated fruit flavors while naturally reducing acidity. The result is balanced fruit with excellent color, structure, and varietal character.

St. Croix

Our vineyard consistently produces St. Croix with naturally lower acidity, soft tannins, and rich fruit expression, making it an outstanding blending grape that contributes body, color, and complexity.

Itasca

Our Bernardston–Nassau soils produce Itasca with exceptional balance, moderate body, crisp citrus notes, and clean stone-fruit character while maintaining its naturally low acidity.

Louise Swenson

Our Louise Swenson develops excellent ripeness with naturally low acidity, producing fruit that is ideal for balanced white wines or as an exceptional blending component.

La Crescent

We allow our La Crescent to remain on the vine until acidity has declined to an optimal level, producing intensely aromatic fruit with vibrant apricot, peach, tropical fruit, and citrus characteristics while maintaining excellent balance.
