Property Manager / Assistant Vineyard Manager

Lot 10 Vineyard is located on the east side of Skaneateles Lake and has been operating since 2015.

Job Type: Part-time (10 to 20 hours per week, flexible schedule)

Start Date: On or around May 1, 2025

Job Summary:

Seeking someone to assist with maintaining a small vineyard and connected property in Skaneateles, New York, on a part-time basis. The vineyard is professionally managed by a third-party so vineyard experience is not necessary but desirable. There is also some upkeep across the farm and grounds, as well as other odds and ends.

This position would be great for anyone interested in learning vineyard management and/or looking for part-time, flexible outdoor work.

Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining property grounds and condition of farm buildings
• Operating and maintaining farm utility vehicle and other machinery
• Monitoring vineyard for disease and pest pressure
• Deer control
• Weed management
• Assisting with harvest in the Fall
• Alerting owner to any material problems regarding the general well-being of the farm/property
• Other jobs as requested by owner

Qualifications include:

• Permission to work in the US
• Current and valid driver’s license and vehicle to commute back and forth
• Physical strength and stamina
• Flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
• Dedication to furthering the successful development of the farming environment
