HEAD WINEMAKER

Colloca Estate Winery is located on a 103-acre estate on the shores of Little Sodus Bay, an inlet of the Great Lake Ontario.  The property is planted to over 30 acres of vines planted solely to vinifera grapes, namely Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Gris.  Approximately 30-50 tons of fruit are processed on premises and additional fruit is purchased from nearby vineyards that is also processed on site. Our wines have scored up to 95 points and won numerous awards in blinded competitions including Best of Class, and New York Winery of the Year, as testimony to our commitment to quality.  This remarkable property boasts 900 feet of unobstructed shoreline, making it a fast-growing destination for guests to visit the winery, tasting room, two seasonal restaurants, outdoor wine bar, and 10,000 sq. ft. event center where weddings and events occur.

The Winemaker position provides a position for the ideal candidate to continue producing the wines that have made us successful as well as the unique opportunity to develop finely crafted premium estate grown wines in a sustainable atmosphere.  Our location is in the northern most part of New York State’s famed Finger Lakes Region, although we are located outside the AVA and a proud member of the Lake Ontario Wine Trail.  We are only an hour drive to Syracuse (SYR) and Rochester (ROC), and four hours’ drive from Toronto (YYZ), and Five and a half hours drive to New York City (JFK), and Montreal (YUL).
